Like we describe on our Gym-based rehabilitation pagewe have deliberately chosen to partner with and use the Vision's Fitness Centre (located in Hawthorn, Melbourne) as our strength and conditioning facility. Vision's is a proud member of the local community since 1984! Their state of the art facility suits our purposes perfectly, with all the equipment one might need to take their training to the next level.

Strength & conditioning can mean different things to different people. It is cut from the same cloth as "rehab". For seasoned exercisers, it's usually associated with a high-level of sports science. But for those with less experience in the gym, it need not be a scary concept. At the heart of it, strength & conditioning (or, S&C for short) aims to empower people, enhancing and optimising overall physical performance, preventing injury, and fostering a path towards personalised fitness goals.

Through our individualised physio-based S&C programs, we strive to optimise function, and promote enduring musculoskeletal health.

Some of the benefits of strength & conditioning:

Enhancing and Optimising Physical Performance

  • Optimal Function: Strength training improves overall physical health (function), aiding in our daily activities and in preventing injury
  • Improved Endurance: Conditioning exercises enhance stamina, allowing for prolonged physical activity
  • Improved Performance: Typical goals of S&C can be improvements in strength (measured in terms of endurance, strength, maximum strength, and power), as well as balance training, and agility

Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation Support

  • Stability/hardening: Strength training contributes to joint stability, reducing the risk and potential impact of musculoskeletal injury.
  • Rehabilitation Support: Conditioning exercises play a pivotal role in the in the overall rehabilitation process, aiding recovery from injury, surgery, etc

Other Benefits of Improved Musculoskeletal Health
